DIN 11851 couplings
DIN 11851 couplings are designed specially for applications in the food industry. They consist of a cone nozzle and a threaded end, which are connected with each other using a union nut. The sealing is done via an elastomer seal, which is selected depending on the medium. By using round threads (diary threads) and surfaces with low surface roughnesses, a light cleaning is ensured. The diary unions are frequently used with diary hoses that were developed especially for the food branch.
